Residence permit search year amended
Foreigners graduated from the Netherlands must apply within one year after graduation for a search year permit that will allow them to search for a job to work as a highly skilled migrant. Under this search year permit they can work without the need to have a work permit. That will change from one to three years after graduation. Also a new category of foreigners will be entitled for this permit: Phd graduates and scientific researchers. Until now this category can only apply for a highly educated residence permit that will allow them to search for a job as a highly skilled migrant and they can only work during that year with a work permit.
