Highly Skilled Migrant Scheme: changes
Additional conditions with regard to salary payment will be set for the highly skilled migrant residence permit. Currently the only condition is that the gross annual salary to qualify for the highly skilled migrant residence permit is met. In stead of a gross annual salary, the salary will have to be paid monthly to the highly skilled migrant and he must receive this amount at his bank account.
This change will have direct effect for unpaid sabbatical leave or unpaid parental leave for highly skilled migrants.
Expectation is that the change will enter into force 1 January 2014.
